African Cichlid can also be found in other lakes and many different rivers throughout the african continent, where the conditions and environment is right. The number of Cichlid species in these lakes are a great many, and maybe even more then in any other lakes in the world. Many of the African Cihclids have beautiful, bright and sparkling colours, and are very attractive for the aquarium hobbyists, but they are rare to come by in aquarium stores. African Cichlids can get very aggressive, and it's best not to mangle them with other types of tropical fish species. African Chichlid species that are collected by aquarium hobbyists are not a few. The many species that are collected might be those who easily adapts the aquarium environment, and are easy to keep and breed. The looks of the african cichlid are also important.
